R3000 VS Epson R2880
There are several difference between the EPson R3000 and the R2880. The R3000 adds Ethernet and WiFi support; a color LCD control panel; higher-capacity ink cartridges, and the ability to hold an additional cartridge, so you don’t have to switch between different black ink cartridges when you switch between glossy and matte paper.

Ink technology. The R3000 uses Epson UltraChrome K3 with Vivid Magenta Ink Technology, while th R2000 uses Epson UltraChrome Hi-Gloss 2 pigment ink.
Inks. The R2000 uses 8 (Photo Black, Matte black, Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Red, Orange, Gloss Optimizer) inks; while the R3000 uses 9 (Photo Black, Matte Black, Light Black, Light Light Black, Cyan, Vivid Magenta, Yellow, Light Cyan, Vivid Light Magenta).
Photo print speed. The R2000′s speed is at 44 sec (5″ x 7″) and the R3000 is at 1 min 36 sec (8″x 10″).
Display. The R3000 features a color LCD display
